A ten point memorandum entitled „The Climate – Justice – Cooperation Nexus: 10 Cornerstones of the Great Transformation towards Sustainability“ was presented as the outcome of the Conference. This memorandum defines key global challenges for the coming years and calls upon state- and non-governmental actors to accelerate their efforts to tackle climate change. The memorandum calls upon policy-makers and business leaders to address thefollowing issues, among others at the #COP23:

Organisers of the Conference

The German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) is one of the leading research institutes for global sustainable development and international cooperation worldwide. Main research areas include (global) governance for sustainable development, low carbon development pathways, policy trajectories towards inclusive growth, global economic governance. As co-chair of the Think 20 process during the German G20 Presideny, the institute develops policy recommendations for the G20.

The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is an international scientific institute that conducts research into the critical issues of global environmental, economic, technological, and social change that we face in the twenty-first century. Our findings provide valuable options to policymakers to shape the future of our changing world. IIASA is independent and funded by prestigious research funding agencies in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania.
